The layer around the seed.

ar·il/ˈarɪl/ · noun

The layer that forms around a seed. It protects it, feeds it, and carries it to where it can grow.

Our story

Aril didn’t start as a fund.

It started with a question founders kept asking us: who actually helps once the money lands?

Our story

We weren’t trying to become investors.

We were operators. We’d taken brands from first sample to shelf, and we knew where they break.

So we built what we wished we’d had.

A small, patient pool of capital that turns up with time, contacts and a pair of hands.

Our story

What began as favours between founders became Aril.

A boutique investment house for consumer brands, the companies around them, and early-stage ideas at seed.

Consumer brands

FMCG solutions

Early-stage ventures

Food, drink, wellness, personal care, home. Things people put in the basket every week.

The quiet infrastructure behind the shelf: formulation, supply, fulfilment and trade.

Ideas beyond consumer too, backed at seed, where a small cheque and real attention still change the outcome.

So it’s a VC fund?

·Arilalways

Not quite.

·Arilalways

There’s capital. There’s a shelf and a reorder rate, or an idea at seed worth a first cheque. No noise, no decks.

Aril is run by operators who have taken consumer brands from first sample to global scale.

We’ve built what we back.

Small by design. A handful of investments a year.

We think in seasons, not quarters.

For founders who would rather be used every week than talked about once.
